Monday, The Fourth, was our last day in NYC (sad face) and it was glorious and sunny. We had a few outstanding items to take care of before we left. #1 – The Brooklyn, or is it Brocklyn, Bridge.
"Hello brooklyn how you doing where you going and can I come too"
"hello brooklyn, if we had a daughter guess what imma call her, Brooklyn Carter"
Okay enough Jay-z
The bridge was hopping with tourists and some of the view was obstructed by construction but it was the perfect day for a bridge walk.
We were there in the morning but if you cross later in the day make sure to stop for pizza and fresh ice cream on the Brooklyn side!
The bridge is intense!
The views weren’t that spectacular but walking into NY was a neat experience. If you’re looking for a good view of the skyline take a trip on the Ellis or Staten Island Ferry’s.
It was HOT and we were melting by the time we made it across the bridge. Time for lunch and outstanding item #2 – NY Pizza. We walked around FiDi trying to find somewhere to eat but everything was closed despite the holiday tourists crawling around the area.
We ended up near where we started at a hole in the wall place just south of the WTC. Thank you Steve’s Pizza for being open and serving hot slices to hungry tourists.
I didn’t get a picture. I was hangry. You understand, picture a cheesy triangle of goodness. Yumm.
You know, Cliff, Clair, Sondra, Denise, Theo, Vanessa and Rudy.
After visiting our old friends we realized a new friend was only a few blocks away. Another Pinkberry was tucked into a cute street in Greenwich Village, score!
